The vision for this 75-acre greenfield site encompasses site development and construction of core and shell structures for seven specialized buildings. The multi-phase development includes administrative offices, QC laboratories, logistics, parenteral filling, device assembly, packaging facilities, and central utilities. The fit-out of Buildings 1, 5, and 7 integrates administrative spaces, waste management, and maintenance operations, while Buildings 2, 4, and 6 focus on advanced device assembly and packaging.
Challenges with supply chains, complex coordination among global equipment providers, and the management of multiple general contractors heightened the complexity of an ambitious goal. Centered around a shared vision, the team leveraged strategic planning, creative collaboration, and phased turnovers to enable early move-ins, accelerated schedules, and seamless integration of diverse user needs—paving the way for world-class pharmaceutical innovation and impact worthy of the Eli Lilly name.
