Providing holistic services at a single location, The Umbrella Center is a family justice center for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. This 85,000-SF, three-level plus basement facility will house 250 service providers— including Safe Alliance, Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center, Charlotte Mecklenburg PD, District Attorney, Atrium Clinic, and other community partners—and include over 250 parking spaces.

As owners representative, we leveraged our experience collaborating with multiple end users and knowledge of healthcare environments to help identify, document, and advocate for the specific needs of each tenant. This collaboration among project partners and practitioners ensured complex IT and programming needs were met. We always do what's best for the project, which in this case meant providing our services at a discounted rate to allocate project funds where they're needed most—in the project.
