Myers Park United Methodist Church Campus Expansion

Successful delivery of a multifunctional space that achieves a pre-defined program and aesthetic, embodyies the organization's mission and vision for the future, and is completed within an established budget.

For the latest addition to their Myers Park campus, the church sought to address and unite diverse needs within a single legacy project. Leaning on personal experience working with non-profit organizations, we partnered with the design and construction team and church committee to deliver an 85,000-SF, five-story building that blends historic aesthetics with modern construction techniques.

Despite COVID-era bidding challenges and inflation, we ensured timely procurement of long-lead items by securing them in advance of construction. Working within an extremely tight site and matching the appearance of the campus' existing 100-year old stone required innovative solutions. The result is a multifunctional space encompassing temporary housing, youth activities, a café, administrative offices, and a state-of-the-art auditorium that will serve generations to come.
