Delivery of a new fire station that meets community needs and is completed below the board-approved budget.

Joining the project at the end of the Design Development phase, we conducted a cost leveling exercise to validate the proposed design and construction costs. The team investigated 12 fire stations delivered in the past five years, using primary research and public information assess their scope and budget escalated to today's dollars. This initiative helped confirm the accuracy and appropriateness of the project budget, and build confidence and trust among team members with varying levels of development experience. The new two-bay 12,000-SF fire station includes conference room space for community use and will finish under budget and ahead of schedule despite schedule delays related to jurisdictional and utilities challenges.
